Supporting statement
We have noted your environmental initiatives. Houwever, our proposal aims to inform all stakeholdrs on the loans granted in support of the curcular economy. For several years, the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) has been calling for an urgent decoupling of natural resource use and environmental impacts from economic growth, stressing the unprecedented degradation of ecosystems and the ever-increasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It should also be reminded that on a global scale, not even 9% of extracted resources are being reintegratedin the economy after an initial cyclec of use. We therefore feel strongly about the discslosure of this information. It will enable the Bank to set circular economy financing objectives and report on the achievment on these objectives in its annual reports.
