Resolved clause
It is proposed that the Corporation disclose the objectives it intends to pursue to achieve carbon neutrality in the near future and account for its actions each year by specifying, in its strategy, what impact its initiatievs to reduce its GHG emissions at the source and to purchase carbon offset credits will have.
Supporting statement
In terms of corporate responsibility, you declaire that you have a duty to act in that regard seeing as the tourism industry is responsible for 5% of global GHG emissions. To meet the challenges that will arise over the next few years, the goal of this proposal is to ensure that carbon neutrality objectives will be included in your bubsiness strategy, and will include specific annual objectives and an appropriate rendering of accounts. It is difficult for shareholders, investors, and stakeholders to apreciate the scole of the efforts businesses make to achieve carbon neutrality if they never know the business's annual objectives, its realizations and how it intends to achieve them, whether by source-reduction initiatives or the purchase of carbon offset credits..
