Improve supply chain human rights due diligence at Abercrombie and Fitch

CBIS seeks support investors who hold shares in Abercrombie and Fitch to join our engagement with the company to improve its approach to human rights due diligence in its apparel supply chains. Please see the attached letter for our most recent asks of the company. 

Collaboration details

Abercrombie & Fitch is one of the world’s largest fashion retailers. It employs approximately 34,000 people across its operations and has more than 800 brand-dedicated stores. Investors who hold shares in A&F are invited to join this engagement aimed at improving the company's approach to human rights due diligence in its supply chain. 

Objectives

Specific objectives include: (1) Sign the Transparency Pledge; (2) upload supplier data to Open Supply Hub; (3) Adopt the Responsible Contracting Project's Model Contract Clauses; and (4) Sign on to the Employment Insurance Scheme (EIS) pilot for the readymade garment sector in Bangladesh.
