This Sustainability Reporting Market Sentiment Survey aims to garner feedback from organisations and investors, to assess market sentiment, understanding, adoption, readiness, and implementation costs related to sustainability reporting in South Africa. The survey is led by Alexforbes, in collaboration with the CIPC, an agency of the dtic.

Organisations are invited to actively participate in this online survey which can be accessed at: https://forms.office.com/r/9ESqSxFWwe 

The survey includes elements that will inform a formal Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), being conducted by Genesis Analytics on behalf of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), to assess potential adoption pathways in respect of the International Sustainability Standards Board’s Sustainability Disclosure Standards in South Africa.

Objectives

This Sustainability Reporting Market Sentiment Survey is of national importance and aims to garner feedback from South African organisations and investors in South African entities, to assess market sentiment, understanding, adoption, readiness, and implementation costs related to sustainability reporting in South Africa.

The survey will evaluate market sentiment from a wide array of South African organisations and stakeholders and includes elements that will inform a formal Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), being conducted by Genesis Analytics on behalf of the dtic, to assess potential adoption pathways in respect of the International Sustainability Standards Board’s Sustainability Disclosure Standards in South Africa.
