How other organisations have declared their voting intentions

Organisation nameDeclared voting intentionsRationale
IrcantecAgainstWe oppose the Say on Climate proposal for Aviva due to insufficient climate ambition and lack of clarity in their long-term strategies. Aviva has set a Net Zero target for 2040 but only covers Scope 1 and 2 emissions, neglecting significant Scope 3 emissions from their investments. Despite a noted reduction in operational emissions, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions increased by over 6.5% between 2023 and 2024, primarily due to business travel. Only 3% of their assets are invested in sustainable investments, and no comprehensive plan exists for climate financing. Moreover, the variable compensation for executives lacks meaningful climate criteria, further undermining their commitments. Overall, the transparency and ambition of Aviva's climate strategy do not meet the necessary standards for a credible transition. Therefore, we vote against the resolution.
