The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has published the UK Stewardship Code 2026 along with draft guidance that is open for informal feedback until 31 August 2025. The guidance will be finalised in the Autumn. 

The draft guidance is optional and contains suggestions for some information organisations may like to include in their reports to explain their approach to stewardship. The guidance covers both the Policy and Context Disclosure, and the Activity and Outcomes Report. 

The guidance will be a living document and will be updated over time as stewardship practices evolve. 

The PRI will be developing a response to the draft guidance and will be sharing our response with signatories in August.
