THAT the Board of HSBC Holdings plc shall, with effect from the close of this meeting, establish and publish an annual independent review of the practice known as State Deduction (aka Clawback), including: (a) the number of pensioners currently affected; (b) the total and average annual deductions applied; (c) the gender and employment profiles of those impacted; and (d) the financial, ethical, and reputational implications of maintaining this practice. The review should engage with the committee of the Midland Clawback Campaign Group to provide costed options for reform or abolition of the clawback provisions. The Board recommendation to be disclosed in full to shareholders within the Company’s Annual Report
