This new briefing by the Investor Alliance for Human Rights informs institutional investors on the human rights expectations of ICT companies related to children and provides tailored guidance to both investors and companies on addressing some of the salient human rights issues present in the sector.

The briefing aids investors in identifying and addressing risks linked to their holdings in the technology sector. It provides investors with an overview of (1) relevant child rights instruments and authorities; (2) examples of the impacts of ICT companies on child rights; (3) a discussion of the ‘business case’ for engaging on the issue; (4) human rights due diligence guidance for companies (5) targeted guidance for investors to consider in their engagement with ICT companies; and (6) practical examples of investor action.
