Sign-on statement calling for adoption of ISSB Standards
We invite signatories to sign our attached statement with London Stock Exchange Group and UN SSE, calling on relevant authorities across jurisdictions to adopt the ISSB standards on an economy-wide basis by 2025. If your organisation wishes to sign, please contact benjamin.taylor@unpri.org by May 17th.
We invite all signatories to sign onto the attached statement co-developed by the PRI, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative (UN SSE), calling on relevant authorities across jurisdictions to adopt the ISSB standards on an economy-wide basis by 2025.
The ISSB Standards provide a unique opportunity to bring about consistent, decision-useful sustainability information from investee companies across portfolios, to support effective economic and investment decisions. As the primary users of sustainability-related financial reporting, the voice of investors in supporting the ISSB Standards will be crucial to their adoption across jurisdictions.
The statement will gather signatures from investors as well as other financial market participants, stock exchanges, corporates and other organisations. A final version with signatures will be published in May 2024.
If you wish to sign, please confirm that your organisation is willing to do so by contacting benjamin.taylor@unpri.org, by May 17th.
Publish a sign-on statement demonstrating market-wide support for regulatory adoption of the ISSB standards.
