NEW Business Call for UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution
Investors, financial institutions, and banks are invited to support the revised business statement for a global treaty on plastic pollution! It calls on governments to ensure that the international negotiations effectively help drive the transition to a circular economy for plastics globally and at scale.
Updated statement
Investors are now invited to sign & support the REVISED 'Business Call for a UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution'.
Acknowledging the benefits highlighted in the report The Business Case for a UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution, over 50 leading companies from across the plastics value chain, and investors, have endorsed the Business Call for a UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution. The report makes the case for increased ambition to harmonise policy efforts, enhance investment planning, stimulate innovation, and coordinate infrastructure development internationally. As key stakeholders and investors in many of the supporting businesses, financial institutions are increasingly aware of the financial risks related to plastic pollution as a global driver of biodiversity loss and climate change. Therefore they have good reasons, and are invited to support the 'Business Call'.
