Invitation to co-sign an investor letter regarding union recognition at Wizz Air (deadline extended)
This letter (see attachment) calls upon Wizz Air to publicly and formally recognise employees’ rights to form and join unions and commit to non-discrimination on the basis of union membership. The collaboration is co-led by Ardevora Asset Management (UK) and AkademikerPension (Denmark).
Discrimination against union members and failure to recognise unions poses both reputational and operational risks to the company. Freedom of association is a fundamental human right, and the right to form and join unions without employer interference is codified in a number of International Labour Organization conventions, as well as national laws. Further, unions enable workplace dialogue and fair working conditions, which contribute to safe and productive workplaces. In light of ongoing concerns about pilot fatigue and flight safety at Wizz Air [1] it is especially important that staff are able to voice any concerns about their working conditions.
Please join the collaboration to see more details on how you can get involved.
